Paul Enockson has a wide variety of business litigation experience, including siginificant experience litigating cases relating to the oil and gas industry. His practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, as well as the defense of ERISA claims. He has litigated a broad range of cases, including breach of fiduciary duty, complex contract disputes, conservation easement disputes, oil and gas disputes, product liability and qui tam/False Claims Act cases. Paul’s class action defense focuses on ERISA class actions, including fiduciary breach cases, and he also has experience litigating individual benefit claims under ERISA. In addition, Paul has experience in the oil and gas industry and is familiar with the fracking issues facing the industry. He is also a member of the firm’s Shale team.
Since 2009, Paul has been a member of the BakerHostetler team that serves as Counsel to the SIPA Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, working on the global investigation of the Ponzi scheme—the largest financial fraud in history—and related litigations seeking recoveries for the Customer Fund.
