Rich Fulton is the firm’s Legal Services Partner, with responsibility for directing and coordinating the firm’s four national practice groups and five industry teams, as well as the management of legal services provided by the firm’s more than 700 lawyers nationwide. He has formerly held several firm leadership positions, including Chair of the national Business Group, member of the firm’s Policy Committee, Co-Chair of the national Real Estate Practice Team and Chair of the Florida Real Estate Practice Group.
Mr. Fulton maintains a full service business and commercial real estate practice that includes representation of landowners, developers, general contractors, real estate professionals, borrowers and lenders, and owners of commercial real estate operations including office buildings, golf courses, and commercial and multifamily properties. As past president of a multimillion-dollar condominium development and construction company, Mr. Fulton has in-depth knowledge of the real estate development area. His practice extends to counseling clients in the areas of general, corporate, and individual business planning and transactions.
Mr. Fulton has represented national hotel chains in hotel acquisitions and dispositions, permitting and development, and represents several regional and national homebuilding companies. He has substantial experience in representing families, estates and other entities who are the owners of large tracts of land in planning and structuring vehicles to maximize after tax proceeds from disposition of large land holdings through development, sale, joint venturing and other structures. He has extensive experience in major project development and in representation of clients before state and local permitting bodies.
Mr. Fulton is active in the Central Florida business community. He is a Board Member and Past Chairman of the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, Past Chairman of the EDC Foundation for Education, Inc., Past Vice-Chair and Board Member of the Central Florida Research Park and a Past-Member of the Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment Agency Board.
Mr. Fulton is a member of the Florida and American Bar Associations.
