Sarah Jane T.C. Truong focuses her practice on complex and multidistrict commercial litigation, securities litigation, corporate internal investigations, governmental investigations and bankruptcy litigation.
Ms. Truong is currently assisting the SIPA Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC in several litigations to recover funds stolen through the massive Madoff Ponzi scheme. In addition, Ms. Truong is a member of BakerHostetler’s internal Discovery and Litigation Support Team, which deals with discovery issues (including ESI).
Some of Ms. Truong’s past representative matters include representation of a major aluminum cansheet producer in several long-term supply contract disputes; representation of a major Wall Street bank in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission investigation; representation of a commercial real estate developer in an antitrust investigation by the Federal Trade Commission; representation of a major Wall Street Bank in a dispute over credit default swap agreements in a litigation based in London; and pro bono representation of plaintiffs in A.N.A., et al. v. Breckinridge County Board of Education, et al., a class action suit challenging the lawfulness of a Kentucky school district’s policy of segregating its students by sex.
Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Ms. Truong worked in the New York office of a major U.S. law firm.
