Sean H. Sobel

Sean Sobel’s practice involves a variety of litigation matters in connection with Baker Hostetler’s role as counsel to the court-appointed Trustee to the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.

Prior to joining Baker Hostetler, Mr. Sobel’s practice focused on insurance subrogation litigation, where he served as first-chair attorney in multiple bench trials with favorable results. Mr. Sobel also worked as a legal intern with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Office of Federal Operations in Washington, D.C., drafting appellate decisions in employment discrimination claims brought by federal employees. He also served as an extern for the Honorable Judge Peter C. Economus in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

While in law school, Mr. Sobel was a member of Case Western Reserve’s William E. McGee National Civil Rights Moot Court team and an Executive Editor for the Canada-United States Law Journal.

Mr. Sobel is a member of the American, Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations and volunteers with the Cleveland Chapter of the March of Dimes.
