Solution
:
A team of Baker Hostetler employment lawyers designed a customized HR Audit that involved interviews with the company's HR professionals across the country to assess employment, labor, wage and hour, benefit and safety practices. We found that there was no uniformity in employment forms, policies or procedures and these inconsistencies affected the morale of employees who were transferred to other business units or locations within the company.
Result

We developed best practice solutions and worked with the head of HR, the legal department and senior management to develop consistent policies and procedures that best fit its corporate culture. We created new employee handbooks and HR training procedures for use throughout the organization. Additionally, we recommended that the company's legal department sign off on any terminations.
