Shana Yates, who joined Baker Hostetler’s Litigation Group in 2007, manages a variety of litigation matters, including work on behalf of a global technology services provider. In addition, Ms. Yates has been actively involved in legal matters for one of the nation’s premier developer of commercial real estate. She serves on the Baker Hostetler Diversity Committee and is a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee. Recently, Ms. Yates acted as a judge for the 2009 Rocky Mountain Black Law Students Association Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Yates practiced with a leading New York law firm where she served as a member of the Diversity Committee and co-authored “Arbitration v. Litigation: Nonsignatories, Parallel Proceedings” (New York Law Journal, April 26, 2006).
While at law school, Ms. Yates was a member of the Black Law Student Association, the Women’s Law Association and the Interschool Organization Committee. Currently, Ms. Yates is a member of the American, Ohio, New York and Cleveland Bar Associations.
