Sharda Sharma assists clients in a variety of commercial and healthcare business transactions and related matters. Her practice has been concentrated in the field of real estate transactions, where she has represented both publicly and privately held healthcare companies. She is responsible for large commercial healthcare real estate portfolios across the country.
Prior to joining Baker Hostetler, Ms. Sharma worked at a CPA firm where she focused on the characterization and tracing of assets and liabilities and tax planning, compliance and consultation. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Patricia Kerrigan, Judge for the 190th District Court, Harris County, Texas.
During law school, Ms. Sharma served as an intern for the Honorable Nancy K. Johnson, United States Magistrate Judge, Southern District of Texas, and studied human rights and property law at University College in Oxford. She was also an Article Editor for Houston Business and Tax Law Journal.
Ms. Sharma’s article, entitled “The Impact of the Adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards on the Legal Profession,” was published in the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal in 2010.
