Sima Cutler focuses her practice on a variety of litigation matters related to Baker Hostetler’s role as counsel to the court-appointed Trustee, Irving Picard, under the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) in the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
During law school, Ms. Cutler was a staff member of the Capital University Law Review. She served as president of the Labor & Employment Law Association and clerked with the Licking County Court of Common Pleas – Domestic Relations Division. Ms. Cutler received Pro Bono Legal Honors for volunteering 195 hours while in school. Additionally, she earned the CALI Awards of Excellence in Legal Research and Writing, Legal Drafting: Transactional, Workers’ Compensation, General Arbitration, and Property I.
Prior to law school, Ms. Cutler was a paralegal/contracts specialist with several large multinational corporations. Her more than ten years of experience focused primarily in the realm of corporate transactions with an emphasis on consulting and technology agreements.
In May 2011, Ms. Cutler was recognized by the Ohio State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section for outstanding scholarship in Labor and Employment Law.
Ms. Cutler is a member of the American, Ohio State, Ohio Women’s and Columbus Bar Associations.
