Stephen Olson joined Baker Hostetler in August 2006. Mr. Olson’s practice encompasses all aspects of corporate and securities law, with a concentration in mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, venture capital transactions, the structuring and organizing of corporations, limited liability companies and limited partnerships, SEC reporting and compliance matters and corporate governance issues for public, private and not-for-profit entities.

Additionally, Mr. Olson has served as lead counsel for a NYSE-listed healthcare company in the negotiation of over 30 commercial real estate leases across the United States and recently served as lead counsel for another NYSE-listed client in the negotiation of the lease agreement for the relocation of their corporate headquarters. He was invited to speak on the topic of commercial real estate leasing at the 2010 Corporate Counsel Institute sponsored by the Corporate Counsel Section of the State Bar of Texas.
While in law school, Mr. Olson was elected Outreach Chair for The University of Texas School of Law Student Recruitment and Orientation Committee. He also served as Programming Coordinator for the Gus Hodges Society, playing an integral role in implementing the Society program throughout the law school.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Olson worked in the Pentagon for the Department of Defense and the Office of the United States Navy Judge Advocate General. He handled a number of intelligence and national security issues and was responsible for personally briefing high-ranking Pentagon officials.
