Tara Goff Kamradt

Tara Kamradt represents companies in a variety of industries in general corporate and transactional matters, including structuring and negotiating mergers and acquisitions and addressing day-to-day legal issues.

Ms. Kamradt has much experience representing closely held businesses in matters related to formation, growth, succession planning and preparation for sale or other liquidation events. She also has significant experience in advising companies in the healthcare industry, including dialysis businesses, sleep centers, home health businesses and physician practices, in structuring joint venture relationships, transactions and commercial arrangements with third parties.

Prior to joining Baker Hostetler, Ms. Kamradt was a partner with Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where she was a founder and former Chair of Katten’s Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF). Under her leadership, the WLF brought Katten recognition as one of Working Mother Magazine’s Lists of 100 Best Companies for Women and 50 Best Law Firms for Women. Ms. Kamradt is a founder, member of the Board of Directors, Program Committee Chair and incoming President for the Chicago Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law Firms. Active in civic and community matters, she currently serves on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) for the American Heart Association’s 2010 Chicago Heart Ball, having previously served as Chair of the AHA’s Circle of Red and as a member of the ELT for the 2009 AHA Go Red for Women Event for Chicago. In addition, Ms. Kamradt serves on the Boards of Directors of the Chicago Center for Family Health and the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois. She is also Co-Chair of the Midwest Region for DirectWomen, a cooperative between Catalyst and the ABA Business Law Section established to identify, develop and support qualified women attorneys to serve as directors on the boards of U.S. public companies.

Ms. Kamradt speaks frequently on matters related to the recruitment, retention and advancement of women in law firms and on structuring and implementing professional development programs for associates. She is active in women’s issues generally through the Chicago Foundation for Women, National Association of Women Lawyers, Step-Up Women’s Network and others.
