Teleconference: Emerging Developments in Family Responsibilities Discrimination
4/30/2009

On Thursday, April 30, 2009, Marc Antonetti, a partner in Baker Hostetler's Washington, D.C., office, will moderate a teleconference focusing on family responsibilities discrimination (FRD).

Due to the current economic climate, FRD is gaining attention both in Congress and in the Administration. FRD can manifest itself in varied contexts, including in pay disparities and in promotion and retention decisions. The teleconference will explore the various existing statutory and regulatory bases for family responsibility discrimination claims, such as Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Additionally, there will be a discussion on recent case law, legislative and regulatory developments and discuss approaches to common issues faced by employees with caregiving responsibilities and their employers.

The teleconference is sponsored by the American Bar Association, Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice.
