Todd D. Yaross

Todd D. Yaross concentrates his practice in commercial real estate, focusing on acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing transactions, private equity capital raising, investment, finance (including mezzanine and preferred equity) and development of commercial real estate on behalf of real estate investors, private equity funds, sponsors, finance companies and operating companies. He has substantial experience representing clients in connection with the formation of joint ventures to own, operate, finance and develop real estate nationally and internationally.

Mr. Yaross’ real estate development practice includes assisting in the acquisition of land, development and leasing for office, hotel and shopping centers and joint venture formation. Mr. Yaross has represented purchasers and sellers of office buildings, hotels, hospitals, apartments, shopping centers and industrial warehouses. He has advised developers in the acquisition, development and marketing of commercial and residential properties, including shopping centers, lifestyle centers, industrial parks and residential subdivisions.

Mr. Yaross also has extensive experience with commercial real estate financings and structured finance, including ongoing representation of commercial banks, investment banks, institutional lenders and loan portfolio servicers in financial transactions, including real estate financings, loan assumptions, first mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, construction loans and other structured financings. In addition, he frequently represents lenders in connection with commitments, participations, modifications and workouts of commercial real estate financings.

Mr. Yaross regularly represents private equity funds in financing transactions, acquisitions, dispositions and recapitalizations of portfolio properties. He has considerable experience in the areas of limited partnerships and limited liability companies, including their uses, formation and operation, and he counsels clients on an ongoing basis in connection with a vast array of business-related issues, including asset acquisitions, dispositions and financing arrangements (both secured and unsecured).

Mr. Yaross is a member of the American, Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations, NAIOP and ICSC.
