Torello H. Calvani

Torello Calvani focuses his practice in the areas of securities, antitrust and general commercial litigation. Mr. Calvani has represented foreign and domestic clients in federal and state litigations, as well as criminal and regulatory investigations by the United States Department of Justice and the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Mr. Calvani currently is involved in the firm’s representation of Irving H. Picard as Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.

During law school, Mr. Calvani was the Symposium Editor of the Cornell International Law Journal and Editor of the Legal Information Institute. Mr. Calvani also interned with the Honorable Aleta Trauger in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. Before joining Baker Hostetler, Mr. Calvani worked at the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP, where he practiced securities, antitrust, intellectual property and general commercial litigation.

Mr. Calvani has co-authored an article entitled, “Custodial Sanctions for Cartel Offences: An Appropriate Sanction in Australia?” published in the Competition & Consumer Law Journal (2009) 17(2) CCLJ 119. He is also a member of the American Bar Association.
