Trischa Chapman joined Baker Hostetler as an associate in September 2010. Her practice encompasses many aspects of litigation and labor and employment law. Ms. Chapman assists clients on matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as before administrative agencies. In particular, her experiences include drafting a brief which helped generate a favorable arbitration outcome for a client in a traditional labor dispute, defending clients involved in class action lawsuits and settlements and preparing pleadings, discovery and motions in a variety of other commercial and employment litigation disputes.
While in law school, Ms. Chapman served as Managing Editor of The Ohio State Law Journal and as an appointee to the Dean’s Pedagogy Committee. She was also involved in the civil litigation clinic, during which she participated in obtaining a favorable settlement recovery for a general contractor in a complex construction lawsuit.
Prior to law school, Ms. Chapman worked in higher education administration as the Program Coordinator of Student Financial Services at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she was responsible for administering student lending programs within federal regulatory guidelines and counseling students regarding financial investment and debt issues.
Ms. Chapman is a member of the American, Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations. She has also recently assisted in authoring a chapter reviewing recent developments at the National Labor Relations Board for the 2010 edition of the American Bar Association’s Annual Review of Developments in Business and Corporate Litigation.
