The Willoughby Rotary Club named Baker Hostetler partner Wade Mitchell as its annual Distinguished Citizen. To be considered, individuals must demonstrate dedication to their careers and to their communities. Mitchell, a lifelong Willoughby resident, was a trustee of the First Presbyterian Church in Willoughby, chaired the Lost Nation Airport Commission, served as a member of the Laketran Board, the Willoughby-Eastlake School Board and the Board of the Fine Arts Association. Mitchell also served 10 years of active duty with the Coast Guard.
When asked by The News Herald what it meant to be honored in such a way, Mitchell was at a loss for words. “It is very humbling to be recognized by a group like the Rotary Club, whose members are distinguished members and community leaders,” he said.
