Wall Street Journal: Voters' New Choice: Dueling Tax Breaks
Jeff Paravano
, Firmwide Chair of Baker Hostetler's Tax Group, was quoted in an October 29
Wall Street Journal
article, "Voters' New Choice: Dueling Tax Breaks."
According to the article, relief may be coming for many taxpayers reeling from turmoil in the financial markets and weakness in the economy, as both presidential candidates have recently unveiled new tax-relief proposals.
While it's too soon to know what, if anything, will happen after Election Day, speculation is growing that Congress may approve at least some additional economic-stimulus measures next year or during a lame-duck session this year shortly after the elections. "A lame-duck session at this point seems all but certain," said Paravano, a former Treasury Department official.
