William Hawkins is an experienced trial lawyer. He has served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Convergys Corporation, a publicly traded S&P 500 Company, and he has extensive experience as a third party neutral in complex commercial and business litigation. Mr. Hawkins has served as trial counsel in numerous complex national cases, including the defense of medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies and the operator of a DOE facility in Fernald, Ohio. Mr. Hawkins has extensive experience in the defense of wrongful termination claims brought against large multinational and domestic businesses.
In his role as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, he had responsibilities for Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC compliance, corporate security, internal investigations, government relations and lobbying efforts. Mr. Hawkins worked closely with the Board and served on the corporation’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Hawkins serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Southern Ohio District Export Council of the U.S. Department of Commerce and as a Board Member for the People for MR/DD Services. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Northern Kentucky University MBA Program and a faculty member for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, University of Cincinnati. Mr. Hawkins serves on the panel of arbitrators for the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Arbitration Service and has been named an “Ohio Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics.
