Associate - Digital Assets and Data Management


BakerHostetler’s Cincinnati Office is seeking a mid- to senior-level (3rd to 7th year) associate to join its premier and globally recognized Digital Assets and Data Management Practice Group. The associate will work with our regional, national, and global clients. The work may include: (1) providing proactive privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance advice, (2) data security incident response preparedness training and counseling, (3) incident response, and (4) post-incident regulatory and litigation support.

The ideal candidate will have privacy and cybersecurity experience or litigation experience with a demonstrated interest in privacy and cybersecurity. We are seeking candidates who have:

  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Effective and persuasive writing and oral communication skills
  • The ability to manage a fast-paced workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues
  • The ability to problem solve and think strategically
  • The motivation to learn and understand technology and forensic findings, effectively discuss those issues with technically skilled individuals, and distill findings for people without technology experience
  • Good judgment and the ability to apply legal knowledge to problem solve by developing practical business solutions
  • The commitment and interpersonal skills to succeed in a collaborative and team environment
  • The attorney will need to be admitted to practice in Ohio or waive admission to the Ohio bar.

BakerHostetler’s Digital Assets and Data Management Group consists of over 70 attorneys in Cincinnati, Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Costa Mesa, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. There are five members of the team resident in Cincinnati.
