Associate - Labor and Employment

The New York Office is seeking an associate with 4 – 6 years of employment law experience to join our Labor and Employment practice. We seek candidates who have worked in the employment practice of a prominent law firm and have gained experience with counseling employers on various employment-related issues, including leave entitlement, wage and hour issues, hiring, terminations, discipline, handbook policies and procedures, employment agreements, and other matters affecting the employment relationship. Experience defending employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and their state law equivalents, is required, as is experience handling multiple facets of a litigation, including responding to complaints, drafting and responding to discovery, e-discovery and the production of documents, preparing dispositive and other motions, and drafting position statements. Additionally, we seek candidates who possess superior attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional analytical skills, and those who have attained a high level of academic achievement. Must be admitted to practice law in NY; admission in MA, NJ, or PA is a plus, but not required.
