Digital Media Specialist

Cincinnati / Cleveland / Columbus / Orlando

Our Firm has an excellent opportunity for a Digital Media Specialist in the Firmwide (One Cleveland Center), Columbus, Cincinnati, or Orlando office. This is an exempt position that reports to the Digital Marketing Manager. As a member of the digital marketing team in the Firm’s BD & Marketing department, the Digital Media Specialist will work closely with the team to execute a comprehensive digital media plan. This position requires experience developing social media campaigns, website content, and maintenance and the ability to communicate persuasively and think outside of the box. The Digital Media Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a highly collaborative team, and be able to use good judgment when making decisions.

  • Develop, implement, and measure unique and eye-catching social media campaigns to increase the Firm’s profile and drive Firm initiatives.
  • Create, post, and maintain all the Firm’s social media accounts using a social media management system.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to publish content to,, and other platforms using a customized Content Management System (CMS).
  • Monitor social media channels for positive and negative feedback and react accordingly while working with the PR team.
  • Collaborate on the Firm’s upcoming website redesign
  • With the Digital Marketing Manager to reinforce and expand the Firm’s brand on all social media channels.
  • Obtain appropriate approvals on campaigns from business development marketers.
  • Post content to all Firm blogs using the WordPress platform. Perform strict blog content review process, including conflict checks and proofreading submissions. Work directly with attorneys on blog content feedback and implementation.
  • Use SEO (Search Engine Optimization) practices when adding content to the website and/or blogs.
  • Train attorneys on best practices for all social media channels.
  • Gather and analyze regular trend reports to increase site visits and readership. Provide monthly reporting on website and social media activity.
  • Identify emerging trends to improve website functionality and user experience.
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors and coordinate support when needed.
  • Coordinate special digital projects as needed and other duties as requested and assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field is required along with a minimum of three (3) years of digital marketing experience. Law Firm or professional services experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong Internet research skills and demonstrated ability to use legal and financial research systems. Experience with social media management software: Content Management System (CMS), WordPress, Google Analytics, Knowledge of HTML, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), basic photo editing. Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills both oral and written. Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to be detail-oriented and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Outstanding creativity; flexibility and persistence; motivation and energy with the ability to work with little supervision and collaborate with other members of the team. A tolerance for uncertainty and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
  • Understand and adhere to the Firm’s social media and general media policies. Use sound judgment when posting and interacting on social media channels. Use and follow the Firm’s Banding and Style Guidelines. Ability to exercise discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
