Overview

Alan deVries assists clients in the complex area of business immigration law. He enables companies to hire and retain talented foreign professionals in the United States by obtaining short-term work visas and lawful permanent residence (“green cards”) for their employees. Alan guides employers through the challenging issues they face in this tumultuous immigration landscape.

While in law school, Alan was a managing editor of the Ohio State Law Journal, served on the managing board for the International Law Society and was involved with the Public Interest Law Foundation and the Pro Bono Research Group.

  • Prior to focusing on business immigration, Alan was involved with a variety of investigatory and litigation matters in connection with BakerHostetler’s role as court-appointed counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS).
