  • Poole v. Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) (2015) 61 Cal.4th. 1378. Assisted team in successfully representing OCFA before the California Supreme Court in reversing a decision that incorrectly interpreted applicable law to require it (and other public agencies) to show firefighters adverse comments written about them, even if the comments would never be included in any performance evaluation or have any ability to adversely affect employment status.
  • Assisted landlord in developing defendants-respondents’ strategy and drafting appellate-level briefs in decade-old case alleging fraud and other business tort claims relating to obligations arising from lease transactions in connection with electrical fire in high-rise commercial building. Court of Appeal affirmed in full multiple trial court judgments.
  • Member of team that successfully defended attorneys to obtain affirmance of order granting anti-SLAPP motion and awarding fees in matter arising out of claims of professional liability. Drafted successful appellate briefs.
  • Obtained dismissal of breach of contract and related fraud claims against nonprofit legal services organization in malpractice action brought by former clients.
  • Advised insurance clients of policy interpretation and coverage issues under commercial general liability and construction coverages.
  • Defended product manufacturers in matters involving product liability, breach of warranty and subrogation claims.
  • Represented lender institutions in foreclosure litigation.
