Brian Rafferty Joins Prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers

In March 2022, Partner Brian Rafferty was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in North America, whose membership is by invitation only and restricted to no more than one percent of any state or province.

Rafferty is an experienced trial lawyer, former federal criminal defense attorney and former federal prosecutor, who served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Georgia for 11 years, including as chief of the criminal division. During his time as a federal prosecutor, Rafferty received a variety of awards and commendations from the FBI, the U.S. Secret Service, the Defense Criminal Investigative Service and the Department of Justice for his investigative and trial work. His private practice spans many industries, with a particular focus on the healthcare, government contracting and financial industries.

The American College of Trial Lawyers is dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics and the administration of justice. Membership in the College is limited to only those trial lawyers who are unquestionably and eminently qualified, who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years of trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.
