Overview

Brittany Sykes's general litigation practice encompasses a wide range of industries and matters. Having worked in private practice and clerked at a federal district court, she has a concrete understanding of legal and judicial processes related to litigation. Additionally, she has considerable experience conducting legal research and drafting briefs and motions for complex matters, gained from her time interning at Legal Aid Society in New York City and Georgia Capital Defender.

Brittany's comprehensive experience enables her to serve as a trusted counsel to her clients, as well as a strong representative in the court room.

  • Conducted expert deposition, assisted in several fact and expert depositions, and drafted variety of motion papers in residential mortgage-backed securities litigation following the 2008 financial crisis.
  • Participated in briefing and oral argument preparation for motion to dismiss in representation of pharmaceutical company in Anti-Terrorism Act litigation. Motion was subsequently granted.
  • Performed document and audio review, drafted portions of white papers, and prepared materials for presentation to the Department of Justice in representation of financial institution facing investigation into alleged manipulation of foreign exchange market.
