Overview

Casey Holder focuses her practice on regulatory compliance matters, government and internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation. Her regulatory practice involves all laws and regulations affecting international trade and business, including U.S. import and export controls, U.S. economic and trade sanctions, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Casey counsels clients regarding compliance with international trade laws and regulations administered by the Department of Commerce, Department of State, and Department of the Treasury, including U.S. anti-boycott laws, U.S. anti-corruption laws, U.S. sanctions and embargoes, the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). She also advises clients regarding the transportation of merchandise and passengers under the Jones Act, particularly involving transportation to and from the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf. She is experienced in representing clients before various U.S. government agencies, including the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, the Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Census Bureau, and Customs and Border Protection, as well as in litigation proceedings involving international trade matters.
