Overview

Elizabeth Gabaud is a member of the the BakerHostetler team serving as court-appointed counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS), an unprecedented recovery effort involving hundreds of actions.

Elizabeth developed an interest in bankruptcy law while serving as a Research Assistant to Matthew Bruckner, Commercial Law and Contracts Professor at Howard University School of Law. She advises clients on a variety of matters relating to complex Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcies and corporate reorganizations, often including multijurisdictional and cross-practice matters.
