Overview

Liz Pursley focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and energy work, including contract disputes, mineral and royalties disagreements, business torts, U.S. Department of the Interior proceedings and representing energy companies in litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and federal courts.

Liz also has significant governmental affairs and policy experience, having served as Associate Counsel on the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary handling a variety of issue areas, as well as judicial confirmation. In addition, her clerkship to the Honorable Judge Jeff Brown, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas and internship to the Honorable Marc Brown with the Fourteenth Court of Appeals provided Liz with practical experience in the lifecycle of litigation, both trial and appellate. She also served an internship in the Office of the General Counsel for the American Petroleum Institute, broadening her knowledge of the energy field. Liz leverages all of that experience when developing effective strategies to meet clients' goals.
