Overview

Foram Dmytryk focuses her practice on regulatory and compliance counseling in data privacy matters and has significant experience defending companies in alleged privacy violations of the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) by state regulators before the Office of the Attorney General of California. 

Foram counsels companies on product, business and compliance strategies for compliance with complex and evolving data protection regimes such as the GDPR, CCPA, CalOPPA, CAN-SPAM Act and other U.S. state privacy requirements and global data protection laws. She works with client marketing, IT and engineering teams to operationalize privacy compliance at scale while meeting business objectives and protecting consumer privacy interests and is adept at translating complex legal requirements into concepts that can be understood and acted upon by business units. 

Foram leverages her background in intellectual property law and unfair competition to provide clients with tailored holistic advice on on risk mitigation associated with use of consumer data, such as with loyalty programs, new product offerings and use of emerging technologies. She has in-depth experience with data transfers, evaluating gap assessments, designing data subject request portals and response templates, drafting consumer-facing disclosures, Privacy Policies (consumer and employee), Terms of Use and Service Provider Addenda.
