Overview

Jerry Hansen offers clients more than two decades of experience in which he has advised businesses ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies in a wide range of matters. His experience includes business, commercial, corporate and corporate governance, employment, entity formation, limited liability companies, partnership, personal planning, public and private mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, not-for-profit organizations, real property, securities, and tax and tax controversy matters. He has worked with clients in diverse industries, including aviation, banking, cable television, construction, consumer reporting, entertainment, hotel, oil and gas, medical, publishing, satellite television, and technology.

In addition to advice on numerous public offerings, Jerry's experience includes a successful recapitalization plan in excess of $3 billion initiated in response to an unsolicited proposal to acquire a company engaged primarily in publishing, theme parks and insurance. He has been in private practice in the M&A sector, general counsel for an M&A firm, and part of a team that created and maintains a database of large, public M&A transactions. Jerry has owned and operated small businesses and draws on his practical experience gained from this business ownership when providing legal advice to clients. He is also a certified public accountant, a real estate broker and a certified general contractor. Additionally, Jerry has been a contributor to the Colorado Springs Business Journal.
