Overview

Nikki Edmunds combines her passion for technology with her love of the fashion, gaming and hospitality industries as she focuses her practice on proactive strategies for privacy governance and the evolving data protection landscape, as well as advertising and marketing, IP and technology transactions.

Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Nikki's primary focus had been in software licensing, working with high profile clients in the fashion/retail arena, including Hugo Boss, Levis and Adidas. Utilizing her business experience in the software development space and expanded focus on data privacy compliance, she assists clients in addressing their current challenges while working to develop plans for their long-term technology goals.

Nikki's data privacy experience includes advising enterprise clients on technology transparency and regulatory compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). She ensures that clients are continually adapting their existing privacy regimes and contractual frameworks to meet these new legislative requirements and achieve their privacy objectives.

  • As lead counsel for the domestic arm of legal team for high-growth tech company drafted and negotiated enterprise agreements, including software license agreements licensing the top 3D design software in the market, commercial contracts for new technological products and services distributed by the company and vendor agreements pertaining to IT, data protection, privacy, cloud storage and marketing (DPAs, SaaS and SLAs).
