Overview

John Weber began his career as trademark counsel for Borg-Warner Corp. in the 1980s, which was then a Fortune 100 diversified global corporation. Relying on his experience with Borg-Warner, John counsels clients with an understanding of the need to maintain communications, manage expectations and provide cost-saving options when available at every opportunity. John's approach to the maintenance of intellectual property (IP) and portfolio management and enforcement matters is steeped in his knowledge of the topic of trademarks, which allows him to readily move beyond pure legal analysis to flush out broader business implications. This includes risk-reward decisions and designing initial road maps identifying major risks and issues that need to be addressed up front. Through his thorough and comprehensive due diligence, and by bringing his technical and legal perspective to each IP matter, John navigates clients through the process of bringing their products to market in as easy and streamlined a manner as possible.

John is the former chair of BakerHostetler's national Intellectual Property Group.
