Jonathan Schwartz takes a comprehensive approach to his private wealth planning practice. He frequently advises high-net-worth clients, and oversees the implementation and administration of their legacy plans in collaboration with certified public accountants, insurance brokers, financial advisors and family offices. Jonathan drafts complex wills and trust instruments designed to incorporate his clients’ wide-ranging estate planning goals, and prepares federal gift tax returns to satisfy his clients’ annual reporting obligations to the IRS. His counsel also extends to fiduciaries, whom he guides on various estate and trust administration matters, including tax returns and accountings, both formal and informal. Additionally, Jonathan advises public charities and private charitable foundations on a range of issues, including initial formation, applications to the IRS for tax-exempt status, state registration, and ongoing tax and operational compliance.
