Overview

Julie Kwun represents employers in labor and employment matters involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, the California Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), wrongful termination, and related claims in class, collective, single-plaintiff and multi-plaintiff actions. Julie practices before state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies, and brings a practical approach in order to find effective solutions that balance business and legal considerations.

  • Represented an international apparel company in a wage and hour class action lawsuit. Obtained a favorable court-approved, class-wide settlement following extensive discovery. 
  • Represented a restaurant in an FLSA collective action alleging wage and hour violations, including failure to pay overtime and failure to provide meal and rest periods. Obtained a favorable settlement. 
  • Represented a multinational retailer in a pregnancy discrimination case and a sexual harassment case. Obtained dismissal with prejudice in both cases based on terminating sanctions for violation of discovery orders.
