Overview

Lisa Virgen’s developing distribution and franchise practice encompasses motor vehicle, equipment, heavy-duty truck and electric vehicle industries. She has experience representing clients in a wide variety of matters, including contract disputes, administrative state actions and trucking accidents. She has counseled manufacturers in new developing issues such as distribution of electric vehicles and vehicle subscription programs, and manufacturer agreements with publicly owned dealership groups. Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Lisa clerked for the Honorable Nelva Gonzales Ramos, U.S. District Judge in the Southern District of Texas.

  • Assisted in the prosecution of a declaratory judgment action in federal court. Handled research, dispositive motions and deposition preparation.
  • Lead associate in a Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act lawsuit between a motor vehicle distributor and a consumer. Represented client in mediation and a motion hearing.
