Overview

Mark Mashack draws on more than a decade of experience in patent procurement. He counsels a range of clients on complex IP issues, including Fortune 100 companies and startups. Mark has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in mechanical, electrical and computer engineering industries, in addition to writing a number of opinions and spearheading due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Mark was previously a Primary Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where he was responsible for reviewing office action strategy and work product of junior examiners. Mark also has experience in bioengineering research and product development, where he developed hyaluronic acid as a vascular biomaterial.
