Overview

Mike Nagelberg brings diverse experience to his environmental and litigation practices. His background includes litigating complex environmental and toxic tort matters in both federal and state courts, and he has also provided in-depth environmental litigation and risk due diligence to support several mergers and acquisitions. In addition to his environmental practice, Mike has experience litigating complex state and federal cases involving constitutional challenges, antitrust, bankruptcy, contractual disputes and securities matters. He also has served on attorney teams counseling clients with respect to government and internal investigations, as well as subsequent civil litigation.

Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Mike was an associate at a prominent international law firm. A creative problem solver and client advocate, Mike prides himself on obtaining and developing cutting-edge knowledge and skills that can translate across litigation areas and benefit clients in a range of industries.

  • On Election Day 2018, worked with a team of election lawyers overseeing New York's Election Day operations and serving as a watchdog to ensure a free, open and honest process.
  • Member of a team that won one of the largest-ever recoveries under the federal Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA).
