Sameer Mohan serves as the Business Group coordinator for the Houston office. He focuses his practice primarily on corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Sameer represents public and large private companies in complex corporate transactions, including major capital infrastructure projects and joint ventures. He is thorough in his work and understands his clients’ business needs, particularly with a concentration in the energy and healthcare industries.   • Advised a major offshore pipeline company regarding an interconnect and construction agreement for a deepwater crude pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico with an operator of interconnect facilities on behalf of a consortium of oil producers. This is to be the deepest offshore crude pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico. Provided counsel to the pipeline company, including drafting and negotiating material agreements and providing strategic advice. 
  • Advised a major offshore pipeline company regarding a joint venture with another major offshore pipeline company to construct a new natural gas pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico on behalf of a consortium of gas producers. 
  • Advised a major midstream company regarding the acquisition of a liquid natural gas pipeline and gas conditioning plant in North Dakota.
  • Advised a publicly held exploration and production company in the divestiture of two major pipeline systems in Mississippi and Louisiana. 
  • Advised an offshore pipeline joint venture with respect to a new offshore crude oil pipeline for deepwater production with several producers. 
  • Advised a U.S. oil field service company in the negotiation of an international joint venture with a Saudi Arabia-based company. 
  • Advised a U.S. oil field equipment company in the negotiation of a joint venture company with a Brazil-based partner. 
  • Represented the largest U.S.-based outpatient dialysis company with respect to a nationwide medical office lease portfolio and the acquisitions/divestitures of medical office buildings in several states, including sale-leaseback transactions. 
  • Advised a large medical oncology practice in Houston regarding the negotiation of a long-term lease agreement for radiation therapy. 
  • Represented the largest radiation oncology practice in the North Houston area with respect to the asset and real estate acquisitions of radiation centers, medical office buildings and radiation oncology assets.
  • Represented the developer of a skilled nursing facility in North Houston in the development of a real estate project adjacent to a rehabilitation hospital. 
  • Represented an Austin-based nonprofit hospital system with the asset and real estate acquisition of a partial hospitalization program business. 
  • Represented a large Houston-based physician network in its medical office building lease portfolio.
