Real Estate
  • Represented the developer in the acquisition and assembly of multiple farm parcels north of Columbus, Ohio, for the construction of a new I-71 freeway interchange to create the Polaris development.
  • Represented the Polaris developer in the development and sale of numerous parcels of the Polaris development, including the sale of a major parcel to a leading international bank for its company headquarters.
  • Represented Rickenbacker Port Authority and its affiliated community improvement corporation for the acquisition, development and sale of real estate in the area of the Rickenbacker airport and foreign trade zone.
  • Represented a Columbus, Ohio-based private university in its acquisition of a west-central Ohio university, including a 120-acre campus containing more than 25 parcels of real estate, with all due diligence and the closing required to be completed in less than two weeks.
  • Represented lenders and buyers of real estate in transactions involving the necessary resolution of various title problems, including working closely with title companies and underwriters to confirm acceptable results. 
  • Represented single buyers in the acquisition of real estate for joint development with other buyers, including creating appropriate deed restrictions, common access rights, easements and other rights.
  • Represented landlords and tenants of restaurant space, retail space, office space, warehouse space and numerous types of commercial property in the leasing of such space, including ground lease transactions.
  • Represented buyers and sellers in several of the largest residential real estate transactions in the central Ohio area.

  • Represented lenders and borrowers in loan modifications, settlements and workout transactions of all types and sizes, including deed-in-lieu transactions and transactions involving membership interest collateral.
