BakerHostetler is pleased to announce that in response to the current government-wide focus on antitrust, the Antitrust and Competition team, led by Carl W. Hittinger, has formed a subgroup called the Cartel and Government Antitrust Investigations Task Force in order to efficiently advise our clients’ facing international and multi-agency government antitrust investigations. The Task Force will be led by DOJ Antitrust Division veteran Ann M. O’Brien.
Ann has extensive experience with antitrust investigations, litigation, and enforcement policy, gained from her time working at the U.S. Department of Justice in the Antitrust Division and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Maryland. During her nearly 20-year tenure, Ann assumed numerous senior leadership and management positions in the Antitrust Division, notably as the Acting Director of Criminal Enforcement and the Assistant Chief of two sections.
Since joining BakerHostetler, Ann has utilized this experience to guide BakerHostetler’s corporate and individual clients through criminal and civil antitrust investigations brought by state and federal agencies, as well as to counsel clients on antitrust compliance. Ann’s insights on antitrust agency priorities, goals and policies are valuable assets to our clients facing international and multi-agency antitrust exposure.
