Amy Traub, Ashlee Grant Article Discusses Final Overtime Rule for FLSA Exemptions

Partner Amy Traub, Chair of the Labor and Employment Group, and Partner Ashlee Grant authored an article published in the Spring 2020 issue of Employee Relations Law Journal. The article, “The DOL’s Final Overtime Rule Increasing Minimum Salary Threshold for FLSA Exemptions is Now in Effect,” discusses the Department of Labor’s final rule updating the minimum salary thresholds for employees to qualify for the Fair Labor Standard Act’s executive, administrative and professional employee exemptions.

Traub and Grant review the overtime rule changes and suggest steps companies should take to ensure that their payroll procedures comply with the new rule, which took effect Jan. 1, 2020.
