Associate Anat Maytal authored an article published Aug. 14, 2018, in “Business Law Today,” the national publication of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. The article, “Breaking Up is Hard to Do: The Role of Non-Compete Agreements When Employees Leave to Work for the Competition,” discusses the increasing use of non-compete agreements for employees at many levels of a business.

Maytal notes that individual state laws can affect how non-compete agreements are enforced, and even when such agreements are well-drafted, employers need an action plan in the event a former employee breaches such an agreement.
