Partner Deborah Renner, along with her former colleague, Kimberly Kalmanson of the Kalmanson Law Office, authored “TCCWNA Class Claims and the Continuing Question of Article III Standing” for Legaltech News. The article, published Dec. 15, 2016, is the second in a three part series analyzing New Jersey’s Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act.  In the first article (link it here), Deborah and Kim looked at TCCWNA basics.  Here, they consider whether the TCCWNA has any teeth in light of the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent ruling in the Spokeo case, as many of the claims now being brought under the TCCWNA are ones for which there is no actual injury, and thus, arguably, no standing under the reasoning in Spokeo.
