Mark Cymrot Publishes Thoughts on Puerto Rico's Bond Crisis in Politico

On May 24, Politico featured “Puerto Rico is good for bond holders” by Partner Mark Cymrot and Simon Johnson, a professor at MIT’s Sloan School of Management and former chief economist at the International Monetary Fund.  The op-ed argues that passage of H.R. 5278 (the revised version of PROMESA that will be marked up by the House Natural Resources Committee today and tomorrow) is in the interests of both Puerto Rico and owners of Puerto Rico bonds. Cymrot represented the Republic of Peru during a decade of lawsuits brought by 180 creditors after its commercial debt defaults.
