Mentoring Program

To assist in their professional training and development, first-year associates are matched with mentors who offer routine guidance and support. The program includes direct work with clients, an integral component of the program that provides associates hands-on, practical experience. Regular feedback, evaluations and face-to-face discussions are used to advise associates on their progress. (For new associates, reviews are ongoing, with semiannual written evaluations.)

Associate Academy

Our annual Associate Academy provides associates additional opportunities to interact with partners, many of whom are involved in the development and delivery of the curriculum. Its goals include:

  • Building effective analysis and negotiation skills
  • Cultivating business development skills
  • Honing skills that enhance competitive advantage in business
  • Enhancing communication skills
  • Drafting commercial agreements or developing client interview skills

Presentations on topics such as the dynamics of the global economy, recent landmark court decisions, and other relevant, pressing matters are delivered by attorneys, management, and outside legal professionals. Members of management also provide educational sessions on our heritage, practice areas, and client success stories.
