  • Proxy primer: overview of shareholder meetings and proxy voting
  • The role of proxy advisors
  • SEC rulemaking and emerging issues
  • Case studies and lessons learned from public company officers
  • In-house counsel at Central Ohio public companies, who will share real-world experiences and lessons learned
  • BakerHostetler attorneys with decades of experience in public company counsel, who will offer guidance about existing and evolving regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Executives from an independent proxy solicitation and corporate advisory firm, who can assist attendees in understanding nuances and enhance efficiencies throughout the 2018 proxy season

Lunch will be provided at the conclusion of the in-person program.

Approved for 3.0 hours of CLE credit in Ohio (in-person attendance), California, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas. Colorado and New Jersey credit is available via reciprocity with another approved jurisdiction. Credit is pending in Ohio (attendance via webinar), Florida and Georgia. For all other states, attorneys can receive a certificate of attendance and electronic materials so they can file directly with CLE credentialing entities.
