“Go Not Where There is a Path: How BIA’s New Rights-of-Way Regulations Will Impact Oil and Gas Development in Indian Country”

On March 21, the Bureau of Indian Affairs will begin implementing new rules for acquiring and maintaining rights-of-way on Indian lands. The rights-of-way rules reflect the most recent, but perhaps most important, chapter in the Obama administration’s efforts to reform the manner in which oil and natural gas is developed in Indian Country. This breakfast briefing will explore the regulatory and financial impact the rules are likely to have on energy producers and focus on strategies upstream and midstream companies might implement to comply with the new rules.

Speakers:
  • Kelley L. Huemoeller, Regulatory Policy Advisor, QEP Resources, Inc.
  • Mark S. Barron, Partner, BakerHostetler

The Colorado Supreme Court has approved this program for 1.0 hour of general CLE credit.
