Get Ready for the Impact of the CCPA on New York Area Companies

Events / Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019
8 to 10 a.m. EST

New York, NY 10111-0100

Although the January 1, 2020 effective date for California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is fast approaching, compliance efforts have been hampered by uncertainty, as the California legislature has continued to amend the CCPA. With the California 2019 legislative session closing this month, and the first draft of the Attorney General regulations expected soon, we should finally start getting a better picture of the compliance landscape.

Please join BakerHostetler for a discussion on the CCPA, similar legislative proposals in other jurisdictions, and what companies in New York need to do to comply and when.

This presentation will specifically address:

  • Overview of the CCPA’s final amendments and their operational impacts
  • Complying with Nevada’s CCPA-inspired privacy law
  • Federal and state legislative outlook for 2020
  • Taking practical steps towards compliance

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with the presentation to start at 8:30 a.m.
