Webinar Series: Washington's Response to COVID-19: Senator Cory Booker, D-N.J.

Events / Wednesday, May 20, 2020
2:30 - 3:00 p.m. EDT

Please join former Congressman Mike Ferguson, leader of BakerHostetler’s Federal Policy team, and former Congressman Heath Shuler, Senior Advisor for the Federal Policy team, as we continue our bipartisan webinar series with members of both chambers of Congress.

We have heard from a broad range of Republicans and Democrats from the House and Senate. We’ve discussed the congressional response to the pandemic so far, how it is affecting the lawmakers’ own states and communities, and what other actions they believe are necessary.

A return to normalcy may still seem far away, but signs of hope are beginning to emerge. Congress is exploring additional measures to boost the economy as we look ahead to reopening certain segments. We hope you will join us to hear how these talks are progressing and ask your own questions of more key lawmakers.

We look forward to continuing this special series with Democratic and Republican members of the House and Senate.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 20, as we hear from Senator Cory Booker, D-N.J., who is completing his first full term in the Senate. He serves on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, the Foreign Relations Committee, the Judiciary Committee, and the Small Business Committee. Before his election to the Senate, Senator Booker gained national prominence as mayor of Newark from 2006 to 2013. He also played football at Stanford and was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship.
