Webinar Series: Washington's Response to COVID-19: Senator John Barrasso, R-Wyo.

Events / Tuesday, May 19, 2020
4 – 5 p.m. EDT

Please join former Congressman Mike Ferguson, leader of BakerHostetler’s Federal Policy team, and former Congressman Heath Shuler, Senior Advisor for the Federal Policy team, as we continue our bipartisan webinar series with members of both chambers of Congress.

We have heard from a broad range of Republicans and Democrats from the House and Senate. We’ve discussed the congressional response to the pandemic so far, how it is affecting the lawmakers’ own states and communities, and what other actions they believe are necessary.

A return to normalcy may still seem far away, but signs of hope are beginning to emerge. Congress is exploring additional measures to boost the economy as we look ahead to reopening certain segments. We hope you will join us to hear how these talks are progressing and ask your own questions of more key lawmakers.

We look forward to continuing this special series with Democratic and Republican members of the House and Senate.

Please join us on Tuesday, May 19, as we hear from U.S. Senator John Barrasso, R-Wyo., who is serving in his third term and is the third-ranking Republican in Senate leadership. Barrasso is chairman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, and also serves on the Foreign Relations Committee, the Indian Affairs Committee and the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Known by many as “Wyoming’s Doctor,” he practiced as an orthopedic surgeon for 24 years and was president of the Wyoming Medical Society.
