<p>Partner Daniel Pepper is quoted in an article published Feb. 4, 2020, by LegalTech News. The article, “New UK IoT Law Treads Unique Path, Possibly Complicating Tech Development,” reports on a proposed United Kingdom (UK) regulation regarding cybersecurity requirements for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Pepper commented on the proposed requirement that manufacturers explicitly state how long a product will receive security updates. A manufacturer’s security support can be influenced by how popular the product is, Pepper told the publication, which could make it difficult to predict how long it will offer security updates.</p>  <p>Read the article (registration required).</p>
